My Miracle

~My Miracle~
On Wednesday, December 16, my daughter will turn one. This has been, by far, the most humbling, joyful, and amazing year of my life. She is absolute living proof of God's Mercy, of His Faithfulness, and of His Miracles. When I see her cuddled up with her wonderful daddy, I'm breathless. I often have to quickly wipe tears from my eyes before the relentless teasing from John gets underway over my sappiness. For the first time in my life, I understand unconditional love. I am so blessed to have been given this child, and I am grateful every day for her amazing daddy. When John and I were engaged, I used to describe him as a very decent man. Oh, how wrong I was. My husband is a very exceptional man- a man who is leading his home in faith- the kind of man my parents prayed diligently would enter my life.

My family is proof of the power of prayer. And in the midst of my doting and pride and thanksgiving for them, I am ever reminded of the true Miracle in my life- God's unselfish and sacrificial love. At this time of year and always, may we remember the love of Christ Jesus, His birth, His promise, His sacrifice. Our God is an Awesome God. Merry Christmas- Amy
